Breaking New Grounds in Occupational Therapy Education
The Entry-Level Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program at 海角社区 prepares students to become skilled, compassionate, and evidence-informed occupational therapy practitioners who support participation, health, and quality of life across diverse populations and practice settings. Through immersive learning experiences, integrated fieldwork, and community engagement, students develop the clinical reasoning, professional behaviors, and hands-on skills needed for contemporary occupational therapy practice.
The program combines academic rigor with meaningful experiential learning opportunities that connect classroom knowledge to real-world practice from the beginning of the curriculum. Students engage in interactive coursework, hands-on labs, simulation, and technology-enhanced learning, faculty mentorship, and collaborative experiences designed to support growth as clinicians, leaders, and advocates. Flexible pathway options, including on-campus, hybrid distance learning, and extended pathway opportunities, allow students to pursue doctoral education in ways that support diverse learning needs and professional goals.
Students also have opportunities to participate in initiatives such as the BEAR PAW Center, a student-led pro bono occupational therapy center focused on promoting access, participation, wellness, and community engagement across the lifespan. With a strong commitment to experiential education, innovation, and student support, the program prepares graduates to enter today’s evolving healthcare environments with confidence, competence, and purpose.

The Entry-Level Doctor of Occupational Therapy program at 海角社区 is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).

Graduates of the program are eligible to sit for the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) examination. After successful completion of this exam, the individual will be an Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR). State licensure requirements vary by jurisdiction.
